The earth is what we all have in common

Every year on June 5th, a number of countries throughout the world commemorate World Environment Day to raise awareness about the effects of human activities on the environment and how they might be reduced. The United Nations is the major governing body for World Environment Day celebrations around the world. Humans, as well as other living creatures, plants, and other organisms on the planet, have the most valuable gift: the environment. Every aspect of the ecosystem — air, water, soil, trees, forests, oceans, and so on –must remain clean and undisturbed in order for the planet and the life it supports to last for eons.

Unfortunately, a variety of human activities, such as deforestation, mining, and industrialization, are wreaking havoc on the environment today. The United Nations came up with the idea of honoring World Environment Day to promote awareness about environmental protection in order to decrease the damage caused by human involvement with the environment. Environment Day is observed with the primary goal of making efforts to preserve the natural state of the environment without causing harm to it. Greener office activities help organizations support the WED. Issues like as carbon footprint, garbage disposal, and deforestation, among others, are addressed, and individuals commit to new environmental friendly techniques.

Ordinary individual can take part in World Environment Day by pledging to live an environmentally sustainable lifestyle. Use alternate energy sources, reduce resource consumption, and plant a tree in your neighborhood. On World Environment Day, you can participate in thousands of such activities.

Celebration of World Environment Day is essential to keep the people aware of the cause of environmental protection and commit for the same. It is a platform for the world to come together on a significant issue of environmental protection and make necessary plans.
